Day Fourteen: Some progress.
Upon waking in the morning, my ritual is usually to head for the bathroom to wash my face, brush my teeth and get ready for the day ahead. I often find myself wishing my sink wasn’t directly in front of the mirror - because as soon as soon as I get there I stare and obsess about any new blemishes that may have appeared overnight. Thankfully, this morning, there weren’t any new ones to report (saving me time and my sanity)!
Another thing that I have been doing differently since I started this blog is to wash my face earlier in the evening. My old practice was to wash it directly before bed, at around 11pm to 12am and then get up at around 8am and wash again. I realized that I was then going for 8 hours between washings in the evening and then 16 hours without washing in the day!
Now, my practice is to wash my face at around 8-9pm, then I wake up at 8-9am and wash again. This cycle just makes much more sense to me. I know your schedule can’t possibly be the same as mine, since most people have to awake much earlier. However, I suggest trying to get yourself about 12 hours between washes.
