Acne and Climate

Generally, acne cases seem to be more severe in climates that are hot and humid.

The explanation may be that the outer layer of our skin swells in humid weather, which causes increased pressure within the skin. This pressure may enhance breakdown of the pore wall and therefore increased pimple formation. You may also experience breakouts after prolonged use of saunas or facial steams due to this fact. So beware! I have read several times that daily facial steaming is actually good for acne!
