Pregnancy and Acne
By : MHRRating : Not Rated
Acne breakouts will most often occur during the first trimester of pregnancy. As with breakouts due to our menstrual cycle, pregnancy related breakouts are due to hormonal fluctuations. Women will often then clear up for the remainder of their pregnancy due to an increase in estrogen production. However, the breakouts may return after childbirth due to a sudden drop in estrogen production. These cases of acne may last for months but will usually eventually clear up.
